Professional jewelry cleaning is best. For a simple cleaning at home, the following methods can be used:
For gold and gold with gemstones excluding pearls, opals, and turquoise: Give your jewelry a gentle both in warm water and a few drops of dish soap. Place jewelry in a strainer before soaking. Soak for about five minutes, then brush gently with a soft toothbrush to dislodge any dirt. Return to the strainer and gently rinse before drying with a soft, non-shedding cloth.
For pieces with pearls, opals, and turquoise: Do the ‘no soak’ cleaning method. Put your piece on a soft cloth and dip a makeup brush into a mixture of warm water with a few drops of shampoo. Gently brush each pearl, then rinse clean. These stones are more porous than other gems, so give them the full TLC treatment when you clean!
Most of the pieces on the website are designed and created by Vinca Major. We draw from the more than 30 years of design and craftsmanship experience established at Vinca Jewelry Design, a Kansas City-based jewelry store. Please come visit whenever you are in the area!
Design and crafting is done both at our in-house workshop and our partner workshops, with materials that are often purchased at the source — such as the opal mines of Australia, and the sapphire deposits in Madagascar. In every step we take, our aim is to put fine jewelry within reach, while supporting the local and often remote communities that many of our materials come from. Most of Vinca Major’s jewelry is made-to-order, and will ship 4-6 weeks after your order is placed. Some pieces are stocked and available for shipment. In-stock items require a lead time of one week + shipping. Please refer to the Shipping page for more details.

Fill out the form provided by our team for repairs/returns/resizing and include a printout in your package. All returns, exchanges, resizing, and repairs must include our returns and exchanges form in the package.
